SLIDE TO SEE BEFORE AND AFTER

We solarized this East York front yard garden to remove thistle and english ivy. From the barren soil, we created a lush pollinator garden with 90% native plants. The second photo is only taken four months after the first, what a difference!

This was a post-construction garden rehabilitation in the Annex. The yard was compacted with construction fill and was hard as a rock. We aerated and amended the soil and planted a mix of native plants and showy flowering perennials. We also wooden fence for privacy and a random flagstone pad for evening dinners in the garden. The picture on the right was taken just after planting, looking forward to seeing how it fills in the next year or two.

No garden is too small! This neglected little spot on a busy street got a full makeover. We removed all the weeds and an old stump, put in new soil and planted a serviceberry tree and some low-maintenance perennials. We were even able to save some hostas and spirea that were buried in the weeds and incorporated them into the design. Looking forward to seeing the yellow, white and purple blossoms this season.
